Aeration is a great way to alleviate compaction, enhance water holding capacity, and enhance the health of your lawn.
Fescue Fungicide Applications
If you have a fescue lawn in NWA, it is under a lot of stress in the summer time. Often, when you think your grass is drought stressed, it is actually over watered and covered in disease. Preventative fungicide applications can help prevent that disease and dramatically enhance the quality of your lawn at stressful times of the year.
Spring Dead Spot Reduction
Some Bermuda lawns get a disease called Spring Dead Spot. The disease shows up in the spring as circular dead rings. If your lawn has this disease, there is not much you can do about it once it shows up. However, we can spray fungicides in the fall to help reduce the severity the following spring. This is a great service, and we highly recommend it if you have a Spring Dead Spot Issue
Tick & Insect Control
Let us help you with ticks & Insects that pester you, your family, and your pets. This service is not included in our main treatment program. However, if you have an issue, we can spray to kill unwanted insects in your lawn. This usually has to be done twice a summer.
We can spray to prevent grubs in your lawn. Although moles eat earthworms as well, grub control can help reduce mole, armadillo, skunk, and other critter issues.
Overseeding & Aeration
Fescue lawns in our area need to be overseeding annually. Because of the heat, humidity, and disease pressure, fescue lawns usually lose some of their density and vigor. Overseeding helps replenish those thin areas. This is a service that we would love to help you with.
Nutsedge is a weed that we cannot prevent. It loves wet conditions, and is made worse by overwatering or lots of rain. We try to spot spray this weed at each normal service. However, the chemical is expensive and blanket applications for nutsedge are not included in our quoted price. If we need to spray an entire lawn for nutsedge, it is an add on service.
Grassy Weed Control
There are some perennial grassy weeds that cannot be covered by our full service. Dallisgrass, for example, is nearly impossible to eradicate. It can be spot treated with Roundup, which will kill the grass around it. In years past, repeat treatments 7-10 days apart for 4-6 weeks, with MSMA was the way we could get rid of it. However, MSMA is now off the market, and we cannot spray it. Because of this, Dallisgrass control cannot be included in our normal service. If this is an issue in your lawn, we are happy to put together a grassy weed control package for you. Typically “painting it with roundup” costs roughly double the cost of a normal service.
