Overseeding & Aeration

The purpose of overseeding

Fescue lawns in NWA can be very beautiful at certain times of the year. Unfortunately, it suffers badly in the heat and humidity of our summers. Fescue does not spread, so, overseeding is a necessary part of the management of fescue lawns in our area.

The overseeding process includes aeration of the lawn while broadcasting the seed. This process is done in the fall to allow it to germinate and start to mature. When spring comes around, it often provides an entirely refurbished lawn. By seeding in the fall, the seedlings are as mature as possible going into the following summer. If you have a fescue lawn and we are not already providing overseeding service, we believe it is the most important part of the entire management process. Please consider adding this service.
