Ace of Blades 6-Step Program

Our Six-Step program ensures that your lawn will have our attention year-round. It includes both preventative and post emergent weed control applications, timed so that your lawn receives the utmost from each application. The program also includes four fertilizer applications timed to deliver the correct amount of nutrients to your lawn throughout the season.

Some customers might prefer more frequent weed control during times of intense weed pressure. For these customers, we can also offer a nine-step program. Additionally, if a perspective customer was interested in monthly or bimonthly service, we can also design a custom program to meet those desires.

1. Early Spring Pre-Emergent - This application takes place between February 1st and April 1st and is designed to prevent annual grassy weeds, such as crabgrass. Post-emergent control for clover, henbit, and other broadleaf weeds is also applied at this time.

2. Spring Post-Emergent and Fertilization - This application takes place between April 1st and May 15th and is designed to control broadleaf weeds that are impossible to prevent with Application 1. Proper fertilization to encourage green-up is also applied at this time.
3. Early Summer Fertilization - This application takes place between May 1st and June 15th and is designed to deliver the proper nutrients to your lawn for green color and dense growth. Broadleaf weeds and sedges are also spot sprayed.
4. Mid Summer Fertilization - This application takes place between June 15th and August 1st and is designed to deliver the proper nutrients to your lawn for green color and dense growth. Broadleaf weeds and sedges are also spot sprayed.
5. Late Summer Fertilization - This application takes place between August 1st and September 15th and is designed to deliver the proper nutrients to your lawn for green color and dense growth. Broadleaf weeds and sedges are also spot sprayed.
6. Fall Pre-Emergent - This application takes place between October 1st and November 15th and is designed to prevent winter annual weeds from coming up, such as clover, henbit, and annual bluegrass. Post-emergent weed control is also applied at this time.

Some weeds such as nutsedge and Dallisgrass may require additional applications for complete control. Your lawn will be monitored for these weeds, and if it is established that one of these problematic weeds is an issue in your lawn we will contact you. The control of Fescue clumps growing in Bermuda lawns is not included in this program, and can be addressed in the winter months.
